What's goin' on?

After starting his business 4 years ago in a converted Franz bread truck, then upgrading to a full restaurant at the marina in Columbia County, Chicago native Randy Sanders has packed up his Chicago-style hot dog joint and moved to Portland.  We are now serving exclusively Vienna Beef Hot Dogs, Polish Sausages, Brats and Italian Beef Sandwiches.  We still have a great classic beer selection and - NEW to Wayne's - We've got french fries!

"We've been called up to da big leagues.....We're headed ta Portland."

--Randy Sanders, Owner

Who is “Wayne” and what is a “Red Hot”?

The restaurant is named for Randy’s father, Wayne Sanders.  Randy and his business partner, Jimmy Ray, another Chicago native, are proud to introduce the Red Hot to Portland:  It starts with a steamed poppy-seed bun, Vienna Beef dog from Chicago, yellow mustard, freshly chopped onions, neon green Chicago relish, a slice of garlic dill pickle, a couple sliced tomatoes and topped off with a sprinkle of celery salt.
